Did you use Berco parts? That brand seems to be the best for the least money spent...

I was lucky to find my dozer with 200 hours on a complete new UC, done by a crawler rebuild shop and it's holding up well...

I see Berco is OEM on many brands...

They are simple machines - nothing complicated BUT hard physical work. Everything is heavy and all the rock guard and roller bolts up into the track frame for 30 years are frozen in place and break off with to much force. Broken bolts are a misery. Working underneath is interesting to say the least.

I put on new sprockets, 3 new rollers, new chains ( Reused old track pads ), and rebuild the track tensioners.

Here it is on the lot where I bought it. May 2011. Owner did not try to hide anything. No Dupont overhaul.

Thank you. I am very tempted to buy a used dozer but the price of those parts scares me and most everything needs track work or is priced out of sight.

You just have to look until you find the right dozer...

Mines been reliable and was only $10,500.00, I've had it quite a while now, it's been a good horse...
