I notice a lot of people pull one log at a time. We always pull as many as we can to save time. The landing might be some distance from the woods. Some will say they don't want dirt on the log, you're going to get some no matter what you do.

When bucking up the logs just touch up the chain each time you gas up.

A few years ago we were making Sauna wood and the Ford 9n was having trouble, so we used my B7100. The one pull I remember was skidding three maples at one time 10-11" at the trunk and each 45 ft long. I think I was in 2nd gear to the landing.
