Lets Reload some Ammo!

Very good write-up! I reload for my .38 spl, .357 mag and .30-06 using a Lee single stage press, an old Lyman powder charger and balance beam scale. Pretty simple set-up. Slow, but I'm not in any big hurry and my loads have been very consistent.

Saves big money too!

Had to go back and look at the pics. I like the pet food dispenser idea. Where did you get it?

I think it was from Purina. And contained Cat food. Just too many years ago when I took it from the kitty.

James

Thanks for posting! I mean that too. I don't reload, would like to get started some day. My problem is too many hobbies, and coming up with dedicated space for them all.

My wife works with young children, performing in-home visits. She has shelf after shelf, rack after rack of toys, games, crafts and puzzles. All of our "non-living" space is like visiting Toys-R-Us!

Let's just say our grandkids want not for toys!

For those that might think it mean of me to steal the Kitty's auto dispensing food bowl, the kitty did not like the design of the Purina one anyway as it brushed against the cats ears and annoyed it so I repurposed it and it works great.

Thank you great write up. What brand of equipment do you use?

I used to reload a lot. I have a Dillon 650 progressive and have dies for most pistol cartridges. I used to sit down on a weekend and load 1000 rds at a time, mainly 9mm, 10mm, 357 and 44 mag

I still load for my hunting rifles, but use a single stage rock chucker.

Great post!!

I bought my 550b used and it came with the strong mount and the bracket for an empty brass bin but no bin... need to buy one. Also came with the bullet tray which is nice to keep the bullets close to your hand when reloading. I seat and taper crimp in station 4 leaving 3 open so I have thought about maybe picking up a Hornady bullet feeder die for that station and not having to set bullets by hand ;)

GSI also makes a nice bullet feeder for the Dillon machines.

It is a Dillon RL 550B. Dillon I'd considered by most people to be on top of the heap but it is not the cheapest. It is great equipment with a great warranty.
