Least favourite implements to attach

My Pat's quick hitch and hydraulic top link makes for pretty easy implement connecting. If I had to pick one that is more difficult, it would be my 5' KK tiller because it sits so close and is so big, it doesn't leave a lot of room to connect the PTO shaft.
Yupp, and mine is 7'.

Side Sickle Barr attachment. It's a bear to attach. It's a bear to manuever cutting drain ditches on the side roads. Also can't get through gated driveways, except doing the zig-zag drivmg technique.

My worst is the belly mower on my Kubota. By the time the mower deck is rolled in place and you reach underneath to connect the mower's driveshaft to the PTO shaft, there is not enough room to see the shaft. You have to fumble around trying to feel it with one finger while you support the shaft with your outstretched arm.

Of all the implements I attach to my tractor, this one is absolutely my least favourite! Getting in there to attach PTO shaft and adjust the top-link is not easy, with the limited space and projecting "things" - like top-link sliding tommy bar, mounting plate for the spray valves, windscreen-washer bottle mounting plate, and of course the PTO guard where the shaft emerges from the tractor makes for some contortionist skills in getting it hooked up.

In comparison, the box blade is a doddle, also chipper and slasher, and the air-blast sprayer's not too bad either. I'm guessing the spray tank manufacturers elected to keep the heavy unit (600 litre capacity) as far forward as possible for weight reasons, also to keep the 6 metre spray boom from being too far back behind the tractor.

That said, it's a nicely made spray unit, and the saving grace is that I don't need to use it very often.

The handle in the foreground belongs to the pallet jack, as all my implements are stored in the shed on the concrete floor, and having them all on pallets is so handy.

My least favourite implement to attach without a doubt is my 25 ton log splitter. Once I hook it up it stays hooked up from late fall thru late spring, But it's worth it I still don't like having to hook it up though so my other tractor does all the other choirs. IMG_20201203_160905.jpg

post hole digger. trying to get it to stand up while hooking it up can be very aggravating !
Dragging it to the back corner of the barn for storage is not fun either.
