2014 Mahindra 3016HST
Just went and revisited Kioti after I revisited Mahindra last week. I got some prices on a K2510 with FEL,BH and a CK27 with FEL, BH. These look really nice, for the second time, and I think the prices are as good as I'm going to find.

K2510 $20,000
K27 $22,500

both are cash price.

Those are a couple $K cheaper than I can get on a Mahindra max28 or a 3016, similarly equipped. I've been seriously considering and leaning to one of these until today.

I got a chance to talk to the owner of the dealership and he made me feel at ease, more than the Mahindra dealers, both of them.

He told me he has problems selling the CK20's as when they see the CK27. they gravitate to that for the extra $2.5K, since it's much more machine. He also said that the CK20 is being replaced with the 2510....a tier 4 model.

BTW, are these prices what others are seeing? I forgot to ask about a hyd thumb.

I gotta feeling there's going to be a kioti in my barn soon.

I too consider the CK27 to be a better deal over a CK20 or CK2510. That's why it's what I got! :)

Those sound like reasonable prices to me (very close to what I paid in February).

I'd lean very positively toward the CK27 if I had the room to use or park it. :D Differences in: loader power/width/capacity, backhoe specs (reach, load height), and esp tire size seem worth more than the $2.5k to step up.

Haven't heard many say they're glad to find only Tier IV models on lots, or are looking for one used either. Could that ever matter if you sell or trade up? btw: A 'cleaning cycle' on the CK2510 would tun me off like a light bulb. :2cents:

Ck2510 is tier 3. Any engine under 25 hp does not have to meet the tier 4 standards. Ck27 is a great tractor but don't count out the ck2510 unless it's too light. I believe it puts out about 27 engine horse but kioti rated it at 24.5 so it's doesn't have to meet tier 4 emissions.

The 2510 is the same chassis size as the 20, which I find a little small/narrow.

My brother has a CK20 and he's constantly saying that he wished it were wider as he experiences side to side stability problems when lifting uneven loads.

I want to replace my Ferguson with something about the same overall size. The 27 is close....as is the Mahindra 3610.

I like the considerable FEL lift capacity of the 3610. And it looks more like a conventional tractor. The Kioti looks a little more futuristic to me.

However both are somewhat lighter than the Fergie. Weight equals traction. I'm betting that the 4wd of the new one will offset the 500 lbs or so of the 2wd Fergie.

Pour syrup on me and call me a waffle. I still can't make up my mind between the two...but the Kioti is looking better.

I got the CK2510 because it was the most bang for the buck, in the largest size I could utilize. It has the same engine as the CK27, just detuned (allegedly) to make 24.5 hp. IDK about the Tier3 VS 4 rules. I paid ... and that was shopping around. I'll PM you.

My brother bought a CK27 synch-shuttle about a year ago. It's a nice tractor, but he said if he had gone HST, he would need more power.

Until he bought his, I had no experience with Kioti; very well built machines.

CK-27, IMHO. Tier 4 is an unknown quantity at the moment- it hasn't been in place long enough to see how it performs re maintainence/bugs, etc. Tier 3 is a proven design being phased out with Tier 4.
I'm sure the Mahindra is a good tractor too, but I'd give Kioti the upper hand South Korean Company that takes tractor making seriously, like Hundai and Kia in the auto market segment.
You decide. Hint: Kioti!:D

I'd go with the Kioti. Daedong tractors does a good job building them.

I have a CK25 shuttle TLB with loaded tires. It's one digging beast. I too went in thinking CK20 and quickly decided the CK25 was a lot more tractor for just a few dollars more. Your price is pretty good too. Highly recommend loaded tires and bigfoot outriggers.
