Yes it is I again. I'm wondering what is involved in replacing a seal on a hydraulic piston. The furthest out piston on my bucket has a slight leak. I think it is the seal where the inner shaft slides in and out. I'm fairly competent when it comes to fixing basic stuff. Is this a job I want to tackel? Another quickie: How do you tell if there is enough oil in your transmission? I'm also haveing a slight difficulty shifting. Some times I have to let the clutch out a tad to get the thing to drop into gear. It looks low but there doesn't seem to be any markings to show what full is. Would low trany fluid cause it to do this?

I don't know about your hydraulic leak, but the shifting problem is pretty much the nature of the beast in a non-synchro tranny. About all you can do, other than do a complete clutch job and hope it gets better, is make sure your clutch is properly adjusted, ( about 3/4" of play), and keep your idle as low as possible when shifting Surely there must be some type of mark on your dipstick, at least a hashmark, (top end). The measurement should be with the dipstick merely resting on the threads, not screwed in.

What is the brand of the cylinder that is leaking? Is it a tie rod end or welded end cylnder?
