Only a YM14 MkII
I fired up the poor old YM14 today for the first time in many months and decided to have a quick look under the lid while it was warming up to discover the coolant leak from the head gasket on the LHS. Fairly significant one too ( about 8 or 9 streams flowing down the block full length). i thought a tighten down might be in order but couldn't find my torque wrench. So breaker bar it was with a setting of "good'n'tight" and it looks to have stopped. I will check it again when it is stone cold next time. She smokes pretty badly now and has heaps of blowby so a round up of rebuild bits might be in order :(

I think you may as well at least re rering it when you pull the head.

Someone on here in the last year or 2 had a seeping head that I think they were tightening the bolts on, cant remember if that stopped it or not? I have no idea who it was either?? Maybe someone who had recently acquired a tractor?

yeah if i do it she will end up with a full rebuild, no point doing 1/2 a job. i need to source some MMM deck bits to fix that too!
