I hope you mean UTF.. and not hyd oil.. Hyd oil in the front diffy would, IMHO.. not be your best choice.

He told you wrong, not all. I have a new, last year bought it, its a 4110 John Deere, made by Yanmar. It calles for 90#, not hydro.

Yes, I did mean UTF sorry I was not clear. I do have some 90 wt on hand just in case it does start to leak. Interestingly enough, when I bought it, it already had UTF in it instead of a heavier oil.

Many units use utf.. many more use gear oil. My ex Nh 1920 used utf.. etc. I see that most of the chinese are using gear oil. Whatevert he manufacturer specs is what I'd use.

My 96 JD (Yanmar) specifies 90wt gear oil. My new Kiotis came with
hyd oil (it looks like) but spec 90wt. Maybe they put it in there for
breakin.
