Hi all, Just noticed my rear axle seals are leaking a little oil. It is a 2004 DK65. I was wondering if any one else has experienced this issue, and is it a repair that I can tackle or take it to the dealer? Can the seals be changed from the outboard end with the wheel removed?

As long as the leak/seep is above the fluid line you can probably live with it for the next 20 to 30 years and not lose more than a quart a year.

Could be wrong, but I think to open those seals to replace, you need to split the tractor and transmission. Not something most people like to tackle on their own. However, if it's a slow leak, you may be able to live with it for a while.

I'm not familiar with the DK 65.
But if it is anything like my DK 35 I believe the axles need to come out to change the seals.
The axles have a large nut holding them in, inside the axle housing.
So the left or right axle housing needs to be removed, unbolt/remove axle, replace seal, reinstall axle and housing.
