Hi all,
I have a massey ferguson 2410 and was digging a hole with the backhoe the other day. The temp out side was probably 34F and I let the tractor warm up for 15 minutes or so before I started to dig. I noticed the smell of hydraulic fluid early on but did not see anything. I repositioned and noticed hydro fluid on the ground underneath were the tractor had been. I immediately dismounted and looked under the tractor and did not notice anything leaking. The tractor still worked and I did not notice any further leaking so I completed the job(another 2 hours) and brought the machine home. My question is, when I started to work the backhoe did the cold hydro fluid in the backhoe some how cause a relief valve to lift on the transaxle and once the fluid was mixed and warm the relief no longer lifted? Just trying to figure out what happened. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
