Leak On Transaxle Front Case

I have a leak from the seal behind the HST fan on the cover of the transaxle on my BX24. Does anyone know if that seal can be replaced without taking off the cover??? I cannot tell by the picture I got from dmacneil's post. I believe it is seal part # 32721-35380 on page 59 of the parts manual.
