LB1914 Stuck in 1st gear

I have a Kioti LB1914 and the transmission is stuck in 1st gear.
has been working fine with no problems. Was using the tractor and went to shift gears and it won't shift.
Is it as easy as poping the top of the tranny and moving it by hand, or could it be something else.
Did not make any grinding sounds, has plenty of oil.
Could something just have come loose.

not that I have any answers-i don't. Does the shift lever move and the gear doesn't change? Or is the shift lever struck?

The lever moves about 1 inch but not enough to shift.
You can pull it back and it moves but then it stops.

Is the tractor on an incline in gear or have resistance against it to prevent the shifter for moving possibly?

No it is on flat ground. I can drive it but it won't shift.
It is in the gear that I use 95% of the time, so I am still using it.

Sounds like the shifter has slipped out of its socket. On some older tractors if you could unpin the shifter and set it back in the proper socket you would be back in business.

Yes, I had that happen on my old Chinese gear tractor. Take the cover off the tranny and look around, mine was a broken spring.
