lb1914 mystery button???

hey i know this is probably a stupid question but here it goes.. what is the button on the left of the dash that has a picture that looks like a piston and crankcase?? and what does ot do??
i'm sorry for the goofy ???

From memory, on my LK2554 the pull knob on the left side is a compression release. I think it has the picture you describe. I don't use it much but it might be useful on cold days to get the engine spinning or for maintenance.

Mike that is a compression release lever.
Don't pull that out if you are not sure of how to work it, the 1914 will never really need that to start up.

It is only used to start the machine.
NEVER use it to shut the machine off.
