Anything I can do here. I've got 400 hours more than the tractor should have because a friend left the key on. Now instead of 212 hours I've got 616 hours. Help.

Short of replacing it and running up 212 on the new one, I have no other suggestions. An extra 400 hours is not a real big deal in my mind..

Yeah, don't lend equipment out to friends:eek:

But really, I don;t think you can fix this...Just have to make a note of it in your manual.

well.... it must be driven electrically...why can't one just disconnect the electricity?? I know nothing about the actual tractor, but this thought came to mind.

That's what I would do, but of course, you could do as texasjohn said; just diconnect power to the hour meter and keep track of the time you use the tractor for the next 400 hours, then hook the power back up to the hour meter. That would be too much trouble for me.:D

I don't see how it could have 400 extra hours on it.
The battery would go dead way before that.
Try leaving the switch on in your car for 2 weeks and 2 days .

I do not see how it could have 400 extra hours on it. That hour meter is driven by engine rotation mechanicly. The hourmeter on a LB1914 is not electrical. Your friend must have used it for 400 hours then. Either that or he broke the dash panel and replaced it with a used 1.

How long did he have it? 16 days and 40 minutes? Maybe he let it run the whole time 24x7
