I am literally fuming. I go to get the lawn sweeper from under the deck so I can sweep up all of the grass clippings and the height selector lever and everything related to it is gone. I CANNOT believe that somebody actually took the lever. It is just utterly insane. Anyway, I went to JD's website and tried their online parts finder. NADA. Found some lawn sweepers on it, but I could not find mine. This thing is not even a year old. I bought it August 2012 and now this. I am actually sitting here dumb founded, and hoping that JD has the parts available for it. Otherwise, it turns into a $300 anchor.

Any of you guys work for a John Deere dealer? Any idea where I can get the parts for this thing? It is the 42 ince pull behind lawn sweeper that I have been using on my Z445.

Did I mention that I am dumb founded and that I have steam coming out my ears?

If it is that one, it was made by Brinley who calls it a STS 42LXH.
Their manual is available at: http://brinly.com/graphics/manuals/STS_42LXH.pdf
Parts: STS-42LXH

Thanks a million. I should have realized that a couple days ago as every John Deere spreader I was looking at was the same as Brinley. Then I noticed that a couple other attachments looked exactly the same. Granted, the John Deere ones were $100 more than Brinley, but they looked exactly alike. What a racket.

I ended up ordering an Agri-Fab tow behind drop spreader for $100+ less than the John Deere. I looked at their new sweeper too and it looks so much better than the John Deere/Brinley one. However, until this JOhn Deere sweeper breaks, I'll continue using it. Should just tell my wife it is broken now and that I am ordering the Agri-Fab one, but I am too cheap to do that.

Time to go and order that lever. Still trying to not think about what happened to it. I just cannot understand where the heck the lever went. It was there in early November when I picked up the leaves. It was there again a couple weeks ago when I went to move the sweeper to get to some firewood. Now, it is gone.

Again, thanks for the link and the information.
