Lawn Roller

Does anyone know where I can buy a REAL heavy steel lawn roller. Been look and find only the metal rollers made of sheet metal.

I don't know where you get one, but I'm interested in why.

Are you wanting more weight?
Too many rocks? (i.e. afraid you'd dent a sheet metal one)

It just doesn't seem like a lawn roller takes that much abuse. Please prove me wrong. I'd like to learn something here.

Just buy about 5 ft of 24" pipe and make one. Can fill full of fluid as well. Works great for gravel roads as well when they are wet and soft.

One of the worst things you can do to a lawn is roll it. It compacts the soil and is an invitation for weeds to grow. They do well in compacted soil, grass does not. There is a reason farmers don't roll their fields after they plow them.

I want it for both lawn and cart paths. Rocks is whats driving me to find a heaver built roller.
