I would rather not have to turn a valve to let my carb run out of fuel after the season is over. Does anyone know of a inexpensive 12V solenoid valve that can be placed inline with a separate fuel electric switch?
Keep in mind that this is a normally closed valve, so that means that when you are using the tractor, you will need this to be energized. Removing the 12 volts will allow the valve to close.
With this solution you would have to add a switch to cut the power and still let the engine run. Seems like a lot of complications to avoid closing a manual valve. I have a valve on a mower and have never used it. I just run the tank dry at the end of the year.
