Got this in an e-mail, thought I'd share.

A guy inSt. Louis was driving to work on
Hwy 144 when he heard a 'pop'! .
He thought it sounded like a flat tire,
though his ride wasn't affected.
After pulling over, checking the tires and
finding them intact
, he opened the hood
to look at the motor. Before the hood was
even all the way open he jumped back
in shock and knocked his head on the
partially opened hood, unable to believe
what his eyes were seeing!
Nobody was going to believe this!

Y
ou sure wouldn't have either!
Fortunately, a coworker with a camera recognized him along side the road and
stopped to see if he could help.
Scroll down and check out the attachment phot
os to witness
for yourself
the source of his amazement.
Now, this has to be right up there at the
top of the list of unusual but verified
'Reasons I was late for work' !

Poor thing, looks like it moved in for a nice warm place to sleep the night before... I have heard of similar issues with cats in engine compartments tangling with the moving parts trying to get out when the engine starts.

Yep, we used to have a neighbor who had a black tomcat named Midnight. And old Midnight got up into the car engine in the garage and got into the fan belt when the lady started the car. Midnight DID survive, but they spent over a thousand dollars on vet bills, and that was about 34 years ago. You can imagine what similar care would cost now.

Wow! I thought this was going to be the story I saw on the news a few days ago about a guy who discovered a pit bull stuck up behind the engine on his car. The dog had managed to get himself in, but couldn't get out. He did a pretty good job of chewing everything in reach to try and escape. The dog faired much better than the snake. He was rescued.
