Could you grind the head round so that wire would roll off? I don't think you actually need to put a wrench on it.
That's a good question. I think the head just holds the wheel on. The two nuts hold it to the deck. I'd have to look.

You could put it in the forge and hammer it round.

I haven't taken mine off yet, been having some health problems, but when I get a chance to I was considering if there was a few more threads on the bolt nut on the outside I might tighten it up some toward the wheel and maybe loosing some of the washers, or maybe putting a few more threads on it so I could run the outside nut down on the bolt farther. Do you believe it is really necessary to have four washers on the wheel? Maybe even grinding the thickness of that outside nut down a little and with a combination of that be able to make it better. I have a few other ideas but I don't think I want to do those right yet anyways. Just kinda thinking out loud, but hopefully there will emerge a simple solution besides cutting and welding.
