Sometimes looking at the weight will give you a good idea of how well such is built. But both brands get good reviews.

I think Landpride is a little better (more personal preference than any actual evidence). The other nice thing is landpride is dialed-in with Kubota now on financing, so if you need to finance, landpride has some attractive deals. Get the 7' rake. Once it's angled, you'll want the extra width.

I've got a 72" Landpride with wheels seems to be well made.
IMO you gotta have the wheels. With 45 hp 7ft should be a good fit, definitely not 6.
With a rake even though it's ground contact it's not like the engagement of a box scraper, you might want to consider an 8 ft. don't know if they have a 7.5

I use both, and both are good! But I would have to say that Land pride is more maneuverable and woods is a lot more rugged!

i have a landpride lr1560. its built beefy and solid. no complaints.

Both are good well built brands with grades for various tractor hp.; look at the recommendations to select a duty grade. I'd think that your 45 hp could easily handle a heavy duty 8" rake w/o any problem. I recently purchased the medium duty Landpride w/gauge wheels and flip down blade options and it's a heavy solid implement with good fit & finish. Formerly my ag dealer could offer better pricing on Woods vs Landpride but that's no longer the case and the prices were very close. I have a Woods RFM and don't find that the paint is holding up as well as I'd like and haven't had/used the rake long enough to compare, but subjectively it looks like the Landpride rake has significantly better paint quality.
