Land Pride RCR1260 Yoke Push-Pin

I purchased this 5ft bush hog 5-6 years ago, and it has been great. This winter, I left it attached to my tractor, and had all kinds of trouble getting it off the PTO.

When I finally did, I had ended up breaking the push pin on the yoke. I was finally able to find the part I needed (as the manual for the cutter doesn't show a part # for this). Universal fit Quick Disconnect Pin Kit for PTO Shaft Yokes | eBay

My problem is now, I have a pin and spring, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make it work.

I thought it would be very similar to this process (

), but this bush hog seems a bit different, as I don't think a washer will work (or at least it doesn't appear it will).

I'm at a loss - I'm not very mechanically inclined and have no idea what I'm missing

Should have an internal snap ring that retains the pin in the yoke forging.

Thank you for the response - is that snap ring built into the yoke itself?

It captures the push pin on the push side of the yoke. I prefer the other style myself where they have a spring loaded sliding collar that locks the yoke on the PTO stub.
