So I saw this land plane on Craig's list for $300, had it listed as a box blade. Not sure if it is home made or not. The guy said it was 6'. I noticed that the cutters appear to be straight across instead of diagonal, would that make alot of difference in it's operation? Seems like a good deal for $300.

If you watch Youtube movies of them in operation, you will see there is almost no sideways movement of gravel on the angled blades.

If that was here, it would be mine already. :)

Ok, here's the deal. I just went and looked at it, but it looks to be cat2, and I have a l3240 cat1. The holes for the lower arms are about 28" center to center and are around 1.25 inches in diameter. Can this be used on my tractor with some type of bushings?
He's going to hold it for me until noon tomorrow. And it is one heavy piece of gear!

You can bush it. The issue is will it be too heavy for your tractor?

You can also install bolt on pins and have them pointing towards the center. Not ideal, but it would work to get your mounting width narrower. That or weld on 2 ears and get the long cat 1-2 pins for that type of hitch.

Buy it and figure the mounting out later. That is a "REAL" deal.

That's what I'm hoping the experts here can tell me.
