It is a privately held site with largely volunteer moderation. It is run at the discretion of those in charge, like it or not. In almost 20 years I have been on just about every side of any kind of disagreement or conflict imaginable here. We choose to participate or move on. I am fine with that. Your comments may be spot on and have merit. My response is so what?

Well said!

Is this a troll post (or poster)?

One of the most problematic and disrespectful users here is complaining about the lack of consistency of the mods?

You should be glad for that! If the mods did what they should do every single time, you would be long gone from this forum.

Aw...You poor thing...somewhere along the line I must have hurt your feelings...Here is the form you need to fill out:

I commend Muhammad and 'our' mods, especially for locking threads wherein I admittedly baited extremists in the hope they would!

Politics has 'zip' to do with a tractor brand's loyalty or country of origin, outrageous state towing restrictions, transport/handling of fuels/containers, or highway safety .. as is often discussed and sometimes implied on/in various TBN fora.

I grew up in a TV station in the '50s-'60s, took broadcasting-related classes in college in the late sixties while teaching Sunday School, and remember a 'standard' of good character that once applied to broadcast TV as it existed before cable and satellite access. Outlaws, 'hoods', and 'mobsters' were not portrayed as good guys yet, as they were in cinema. Remember this symbol and declaration?:

Sealofgp.jpg IMHO TBN also meets the highest standard of wholesome family-friendly information.

(I'm quite political on fb .. PM me for that ID .. if you have an open mind)

From the other side, it depends on how much time the moderators have.
Lets say a thread has 300 posts and 15 of the last 60 are "bad", are quoting a "bad" post, are quoting a post that is a quoting a "bad" post, or are referring to one of the previous three categories of posts.
To keep the thread consistent, all 15 posts have to be removed, but you have to go through 60 posts to find them which can take 10 minutes.
If I find a thread like that on my lunch break at work (with 5 mins left), I (and most of the other moderators) are liable to lock it, report it and add a note to the report asking if anyone has time to clean it out, then if someone has time, they will clean it out. If they dont, it will wait till I have time to get back to it.
If I find a similar thread that only has 30 or 40 posts, the whole thread is likely to move to the Front Porch or "Friendly" Politics forum, if I do it from the browser, I can leave a redirect pointing to it (usually for a week). If I do it from my phone (via the TBN app), there isn't a option to leave a redirect, just an option to move it.

Does anyone know how many volunteer moderators TBN has, and how all that works? I think they do a good job BTW.

6 moderators (plus Muhammad the site owner and a couple of staff that are on from time to time).
I can't speak for the other moderators, but I got a PM asking if I would be a moderator.
