Hello, I have a Kubota LA1154 loader that the control spool for the boom stays slightly engaged after I release the joystick. I have to push (jam) forward on the joystick until I hear a click and it feels like it goes into neutral.
I took the control apart and cleaned it thoroughly and it looks fine, no wear or marring on any part. After I reassembled it the only thing that I could have messed up is hooking the cables back on, possibly lengthened or shortened the play in the cables when adjusting the locking nuts.
Thanks for listening, any help will be greatly appreciated!

Cab tractor correct? You need to adjust the cables so they have freeplay in them. Tight cables to the valve will cause it to creep up and don't forget to oil the in cab linkage under the boot.

Thanks, that’ll be today’s project, hopefully I’ll have good news for you this afternoon!

I checked as I work part time at the local Kubota dealer (and spend more than I make actually). The spec for free length of the actuator cables is 1/8" btw and I keep mine lubricated as well. I use a Motion-Pro cable lube device and a spray can of motorcycle chain lube.
