Nice Job! What is the final weight of your Q/A?

Well that's a good question! I have not weighed it but am sure it is less than 25#. I we take it off to paint and weigh it then, but not sure when that would be. I think the round bar probably weighs as much as the hooks together!

I took it off to paint it today and weighed it up and it comes in at about 19 lbs. Even less than I thought!!!

I couldn't wait for the warm weather so here it is with a coat of paint on it.
I might get a second coat on it Monday.

Here is the way I did mine. Yours looks alot nicer, but if they do the job that's all that counts. I don't have the tools that you could use. I used a drill press, chop saw, 4 1/2" grinder and a welder.
The last picture I just had to show, Eddie has a pig and I have 2 turkeys on my heels when I let them out.

Leejohn, I don't under the extra set of holes on the bucket. Do You use the original lower holes to line up the pins for the middle holes to pin it on?

Here are some pics I took tonight after I re installed the QH, level indicator and fork frame after I painted them.

I also installed the 36" forks I traded my 42" forks for.

Yes the pin in the bucket is what I use to lock it all together. The bottom pin is for pushing and it helps also on it moving up and down. I'm using 3/4" pins in the bucket for when I back drag, hoping they are strong enough (seem to be right now).

You are very correct Leejohn, if they work that's all that counts! I was going to make mine with a piece of rectangle tube and some flat plates but I liked this way a little better and since I had access to the press brake I made mine more like OEM Kubota QH.

You did a great job!!!... Having a "Quick Attach" on a FEL is great!!.. I think all tractors should come that way!.. IMHO!

Now you can switch from your bucket to your forks QUICK!!:D

Hello,
I am starting a QH for my FEL.
What thickness of steel did you use for the side plates?
I cannot read the tape measure accurately.

Thank you,
Kenan

600rider,
Very nice work. This is the type of thing I like about TBN, a place where talent and similar interests come togther from people who would not otherwise meet.

I was wondering if you had to modify the bucket at all, or just use the stock pins and locations.

Keep up the good work..

Your thread has been an immense help in designing a quick attach for my Massey GC2610 with DL100 loader. I want to be able to switch quickly between the regular bucket, a larger bucket for snow, and a set of front forks with a trailer hitch. Are you able to tell me how much capacity I'll lose with the bucket the few extra inches farther foreward. I don't know how to calculate it and the load capacity is important to me. I do like the idea of not having to modify the bucket so that I can't screw anything up too badly.

Sorry Not2old I haven't been on here in quite a while. I do not know the answer to your question but assume it would loose minimal capacity. I am sure someone in the know will answer this for you though.

Realize this thread isn't quite current, but hypothetically if your FEL is 4' from rear pivot point to the point where the lift cylinder rod attaches, and 4' from there to the original pin location, and you add 5" to that distance with the QA system, you would have approximately 95% as much lift as before.

So, if your FEL is rated for 600 lbs you'd lose about 30 pounds, or 0.95 times whatever yours is rated for. This will change depending on the various distances between the above-mentioned points.

It's really more complicated than that, involving vectors and stuff - but for "kentucky windage" that'll be really close... Steve

Oh, you'd also need to subtract the weight of your added materials for the QA itself, so maybe 60-70 pounds total. Forgot about that part, sorry...

Sorry this took so long to get back to as I just reread the whole thread and realized there were a couple questions I hadn't answered. First is Kenan's I used 3/16 thick steel for the side plates and the hooks on the top. as for 46andtool's I did not have to modify the bucket. The whole idea was to use a "stock" setup so I didn't have to cut or drill on the bucket.

Thanks BuckitCase for answering the last question. I can't remember but think I only added about 3" or 4" to the original mount location of the bucket and when I weighed the mount it came in at 19# so as you already said I only lost minimal capacity
