Hello, long time lurker, first time poster. I have a brand new L6060 with cab with 3 hours on it. It was delivered this past Friday and driven around the 吐arm then put to bed in the garage. Plugged in the engine block heater before lights out. Next morning went to start 派er up and nothing, zero, zilch! The welcome screen comes up and shows error code 20 and CAN(engine) NG. I have been in talks with my dealer Barlow Equipment and per their suggestions tried charging the battery, running a new ground wire from the upgraded alternator to the frame and checking fuses in the cab. I have the service manual which I have been reading this past weekend, along with multiple forum searches. This is my third Kubota and I知 proud to say they have served me well in the past. Sorry for the long winded post.

I believe that is a communication issue from the ECU. There is a method to clear codes, but it will not be successful if there is a concurrent fault.
Personally, being a brand new machine I would let the dealer fix the problem rather than offer up wild guesses and procedures.

Reads like a problem with the tractor being too smart.
Are you sure it's not something simple like it won't start without seat presence, the PTO selector moved or the brakes not set?

And for all the
let the dealer fix the problem
Barlows is in Kentucky, the OP indicates he's in S.C. West Virginia. And this has been a holiday weekend.

Try disconnecting the negative battery terminal, then reconnecting it. This may reboot the computer in the tractor and clear the code. It may start then.

Barlow’s will be picking up the tractor later this week. Fingers crossed for a quick repair.

Don't matter a bit. It's NEW so let them deal with it. One of the pitfalls about buying just on price from a not local dealer, something I NEVER do. Sure, under the Kubota warranty program, you can get a local dealer to fix it. Problem is, if not the selling dealer, you go to the bottom of the 'fix' list or at least with 99% of dealers. Glad my local dealer is in the 1%.

How it works and why I always buy local with anything motorized.

Don't care if Barlow's is in China, it's their problem.

I've always bought local and never had a moments problem with the local dealer. What might be a little extra cost with the local dealership is more than compensated by having it fixed - right pronto. A whole lot less gut aches also.

I contacted Barlow years ago before buying Deere X750. They were $100 cheaper on the BX2660 machine. Not worth the hassle of not having local dealer support for me.

A local dealer will support a machine bought elsewhere, especially if it's under Kubota warranty. However they probably won't pick it up & return it for free. Many dealers will do that for machines they just sold. Your usually stuck transporting or paying for transport if you didnt buy the machine from your local dealer.

Fair statement sort of... 1. Because they aren't the selling dealer they have no 'skin in the game' so don't expect overnight service, not gonna happen. They will do it when they have time which my not be your time.... 2. Kubota warranty pays flat rate so if it's involved they may not want to fiddle with it at all.

I would have bought it more local. Sometimes price shopping has it's pitfalls.

Guess I'm lucky. My dealer services all my Kubota's when the issues are things I cannot do myself and I didn't buy all of them from him either but he still treats them like I did.

Got a 2100 buck bill laying here for work on one of my machines that I didn't buy from him btw.

Are tractor dealers that much different from auto dealers? I have bought four new Fords in the last 10 years. All came from one dealer but I have used a different dealer for service and a couple of times for warranty work. They never asked where I bought the vehicle. And yes I selected this dealer based on price. This has saved me well over $10,000.

I bought a used Mahindra 12 years ago which has never needed a repair I couldn’t handle. The local dealer has helped me with parts and never questioned where I bought the tractor. I sometimes think the selection of a dealer is not that big of a deal. Most have a sales staff that sell equipment and separate staff that handle repair and service work. My guess is the revenue generated by each area of dealership is tracked separate. I don’t why a dealership would treat a potential customer bad based on where they bought a tractor.

A dealer (any dealer) will provide service to a buyer who bought the machine elsewhere, that is business. What they won't do is give that customer priority treatment. My dealer won't either on machines I didn't purchase there. How business works. Don't ever expect a quick turn around or being 'first in line' at a dealer that you didn't purchase the machine (or automobile at). Don't work that way and I retired from a dealership, I know.
