ljayc - if you have really narrowed your interest to the
L5030 and the
M4900/
M5700, then I would suggest trying out all three. Go to more than one dealer if you have to. Of the three, the
M5700 is the most tractor - but may be available at similar money to the
L5030 with HST.
The R1's on the
M5700 are big and the tractor sits high - you may like it, you may not. Depends on your place and what kinds of work you'll be doing. That's why it's important to drive them and use the loaders a bit. Maybe think about it a few weeks and go drive them again. If you have never used an HST, it may take a little time to decide if you like it - and if it's cost is justified in your judgement.
The hunt is a big piece of the fun of getting a tractor. Don't rush it - good dealers know it takes time to decide. All three of your candidates are capable of handling the attachments you listed. If you are thinking of a haybine or corn chopper sometime, the
M5700 would be better. If you'll be using a finish mower on your home lot, the
L5030 might be a little more civilized. I don't think I've helped much. Take care, Dick B
