Backhoe L48 24" backhoe bucket

Where is the best place to find a 24" bucket for my L48? I have checked at the dealer and they want my firstborn. I have done google searches and checked Craigslist. Not one to be found. I currently have a 12" and an 18". I don't really see a need for the 18" but really need a 24". So, if someone has a need for an 18", let me know.

Why not take the 18 to a machine shop and have them widen it out to 24

When I purchased a new Kubota L-35 thirteen years ago, that came std with the 18" bucket; I opted for the additional 12" that cost another $565! Some tractor Kubota junk yards maybe able to help? Do a search on this site.

I would also check with many tractor rental yards, which specialize in having Kubota tractors? I have heard of a few that sell the backhoes, separate from the tractor, for optium selling value, by selling them separate when replacing their fleet. Also, some who buy from rentals may not want the BH?

Depending on you shipping cost, I would check with tractorsmart.com for a new price? They sell for a lot less than your dealers, and sell Kubota parts only. They maybe able to guide you somewhere for used, too?

I think it would be hard to bend the metal that is used for the back of the bucket! I would rather take the 12" and double the width to 24"! How much have you used the 12 vs the 18?
