After looking and missing out on every used deal that I find, I have approached a couple of dealers about buying new. These dealers are the closest to me about the same distance, just one is north and the other is south of me. I am looking at getting the L4701 + Loader LA765 + R4 (Industrial Tires) + Pallet Forks + Box Scrape.

Dealer 1 says
84 Months @ 0% would be $29,020 + Tax
60 Months @ 0% would be $27,920 + Tax
Dealer says the difference is implement rebate doesn't count when you go over 60 months.

Dealer 2 says
60 or 84 Months @ 0% would be $27,600 + Tax
Dealer says it doesn't matter on the implement rebate.

For kicks and giggles, I contacted another dealer
Dealer 3
84 Months @ 0% would be $31,859

Dealer 1 & 3 will fill the tires with Rim guard. Dealer 2 charges $300 for it. I'm thinking of not doing it as it does and weight all the time although I'm not sure how much weight it actually adds. I do plan on converting a 55 gallon drum I have into a ballast.

Is there anything that I am missing? If not, I am going with Dealer 2.

I have an L4701 with a hydrostatic transmission I bought 2 years ago with R4 tires, palate forks, same loader as above, Land Pride 6 ft shredder and I added hydraulics to the front with control buttons on the loader control. I'm pretty sure that I paid 27K and change for all of that. I did pay cash though.

Double check the Kubota build site and see how #2 compares to list. You should be shooting for 10-15% off retail. Once you're good there, you can always ask the dealer to throw in the filling of the tires to seal the deal. The filled tires will add a substantial amount and the dealer can tell you exactly.
Its nice to have them filled and add additional ballast to the rear when needed.

All good advice. Tire ballast can be a detriment if mowing is a primary function. Depending upon tire size, capacity charts avail on line, usually 300-400 lbs per tire. Many forum members have noted that ballast is most functional when applied aft of the lower rear linkage pins. That is why an extended backhoe seems to work the best if space allows. As an aside, Agrital offers an all glass cab for the 4701, if after purchase, you seek that aftermarket upgrade. I bought one for My MX and picked the perfect winter to do so. Also depending upon your applications, the MX and 4701 are VERY close in price, MX is sturdier.

A local dealer down my way has the L4701 HST package with loader, 6 cutter, 6 box blade, and a nice trailer for $31,900 plus tax. Out of state buyer no tax. No difference in cost based on the term of financing.

So.... did you get it yet?

Backhoes are GREAT ballast. However I don't know how they work out on a $/lb basis. My BH70-X w/ frame was about $10/lb. A barrel or two of concrete should be cheaper.
Do consider if you will want the weight ALL the time. Most of us do. But one of the "advantages" of Kubota over other tractors is they are a little light as built. This may be because they were designed for rice paddies. But it's always easy to add weight to a basic tractor, but difficult to take off.

So.... did you get it yet?

Are you just posting to raise the post count ?? :)

I have read many posts in a variety of threads, and to date this is the first I have seen from Muhammad. Fair question: anxious to reach the new total? Excludes administrative general notices.

I have it on order. I went ahead and splurged for 3rd function, 2 rear remotes with top and tilt.

If I was posting to raise the count and win the free hats I would like to think I could do better than one random post.

Truth be told I've been going through all of the forum features and using the mobile app and seeing interesting topics and threads, every now and then I'll chime in. We're looking at the future upgrade path for the forum so I'm just trying to make sure I find the good and bad things of how the forum runs now.
