Was out mowing today and realized that the 4WD did NOT engage when I shifted into it.
Simply stayed in 2WD. I'll probably try to check it out day after tomorrow.
Any suggestions on where to start or what to look for?

Maybe a spline failure on the shaft. If you take it off remember to index the universal joints.

I'm a K.I.S.S. principle guy. Let's hope for a linkage problem. My L4400 had a simple pull handle. Assuming yours is the same. Update us when you get time.

Did you actually shift into four wheel drive? My L2501 will allow me to pull the handle up but may not engage. I may have to roll the tractor a bit and pull up again to get the handle all the way up for four wheel drive.

I did drive it. The backside of the pond dam is steep enough to spin the wheels in 2wd
Shifted to 4wd and started up. Sure enough, back wheels spinning, front wheels sitting still.
I was hoping there might be something simple like a loose linkage or an improper adjustment, so I can get it back to work
I think it's still under warranty, but don't wanna load it up and trailer it the 25 miles to the dealer if it's something I can do
