we have a new to tulsa "commercial" kubota dealer i had them price out a l45 tlb with a 4n1 and a thumb. they are asking more than what the price is for the same tractor as i built on kubota's web site. is this the norm for pricing these days? My trade in is paid off and and the price they are giving me for it seems fair to low but i cant believe kubota's are going for more than list. i have other options close, one that was just bought out and i can resort to traveling if anyomne has a recomendation.

Unless you are including tax no way I would pay list but it could have more options than you added while on the build your own site.
When i ordered my b26 i listed all the stuff i wanted and handed it to my dealed that I have dealt with for 20 years he gave a fair price and told me when it would be in took longer for him to do the paper work than agree on a price.

If you like the dealer ask what's the deal with the price. He may have miss priced it.

When I was looking around, all of the dealers I talked to offered close to, but under list price.

pulling the trigger today on the L45 dealer that is 3 miles away blew the doors off the other dealer, 6k difference. This dealer is under a new owner but this is my 3rd kubota from them. My cfo did all the leg work and surprised me ....gotta love her!

Congrats you will wonder what you did with out it. Now get the tires filled with foam and you will never have a flat.

Congratulations workinallthetime.

You are going to love the L45 with the thumb. If you are purchasing the Kubota 4in1 I posted some photos of the mods I made to mine to protect the cylinders and hoses better. It also allows you to carry a fair bit more material in the bucket with each trip.

I second powerstroke's recommendation on foaming the tires. It took 932 pounds of foam to fill the four tires on my L45 and it is money well spent in my opinion. I didn't do it on my B21 and had numerous front flats and so foamed the fronts on the B26. The L45 is the first machine where I foamed all four tires and I am on construction sites all the time with steel off cuts and bits of rebar lurking in the mud so having the tires foamed means no downtime for flats.

I look forward to seeing some photos when you get a chance to post some.

Regards,

Lauren

DAY 14..........
The suspense is killing me, still waiting on them to get the 4n1 bucket in and other parts in i guess. I have had the joy of sitting on it at the dealership and going "vroom vroom" but thats it. They have the thumb attached but have not done any of the plumbing.

Lauren,
i have been reading alot of your post about all the mods you have done to yours, i will not need a cab since i am just a weekend warrior now days but your post's have been very informative

bad news the 4n1 buckets are on national back order. dealer has offered to do the deal and then come get it when the bucket arrives.

lauren - did you get to keep the bucket on the fel in addition to your 4n1?

As I recall a received a $1,000 credit for the standard Kubota bucket against the $2,000 purchase price for the L45 4in1. I had kept the light duty bucket for my B26 when I sold it and it is 66" wide and has a wide bottom like a skid steer bucket. I put the cutting edge on it to reinforce the front edge and kept it as a spare bucket for the L45 rather than purchase another one. I can get enough material in the B26 light duty bucket to match my 4in1 - even after the additional welding I did to protect the hoses and increase the capacity of the 4in1.

Get the dealer to loan you a standard bucket while you wait for the other one to come. Any SSQA bucket should fit as I have used several non Kubota buckets on mine. Alternatively you may be able to get a better price on a third party 4in1 from your dealer that is just as good (or maybe better) for less cost. Kubota charges dearly for their parts as I am sure you know.

Regards,

Lauren
