Your first post wasn’t terribly clear about the problem. So the 3rd function valve stuck open meaning while the mower was attached it ran continuously without the ability to stop it?

your post made me think the first thing I thought of was the 3rd function valve but when I kept messing with it I talked myself out of that and into something else but then your comment sounded so logical. So I went out this mourning and tore apart the 3rd function valve but not knowing what I was looking for I took everything apart and noticed the small spool piece looked out of alignment to me. After taking it apart and cleaning, but not finding anything obvious I put it back together and by some strange merical the spool piece was lined up. so I put it all back together and it is working like it should. it may happen again the next time I use the 3rd function valve but for now it is working. Strange things happening all around.
