I have the Kubota brand forward Hydraulics and while using my sickle bar cutter today it appears the valve stuck because I have no control over it and when I took the hydraulic sickle mower off the tractor would not move very fast and the FEL and Backhoe will not move. it was late and I didn't have time to diagnose it but it seams to be dead heading. what should I be looking for? I do not have a parts or service book on the forward hydraulic system but it was installed by Kubota right after I purchased it a couple years ago and has work great until today.

Only 1 hour 8 minutes between your posts?

okay been out in the shop trying to figure something out but I just don't know!
when I crank the tractor I can tell it is under a load as soon as it cranks.
the FEL will not lift unless I press the 3rd function button at the same time. the dump and roll function works as always.
the backhoe does not lift unless I press the 3rd function button. but the swing works as it did before.

it seams to me like it has a hydraulic return to tank problem.
I called my local Kubota shop but they have not returned my call.

Your first post wasn’t terribly clear about the problem. So the 3rd function valve stuck open meaning while the mower was attached it ran continuously without the ability to stop it?

Sounds like a coupler got loose and won’t allow oil flow.

correct, and now I have disconnected the sickle mower and checked the 3rd function solenoids for proper magnetic functions so electrically I believe they are good.

okay I have not thought of that so back out to the shop I go. and while taking a ride on it just before I came in if I put the FEL in float and when I take it out the tractor speeds up for a second or two. :banghead:

I'm thinking now that the 3rd function valve leaked by because of the pressure not being relieved, to much pressure. I can hear the pressure relief/safety staying open when things are not working as they should.
