I have a L4400 w/FEL. I want to add a 3 pt. Backhoe but I don't have the rear remotes and prefer not to have a pto pump. Question is, does anyone know if there are any 3rd party manufacturers. Kubota wants in the neighborhood of $800.
No one makes aftermarket rear remotes for the L4400. 1300.00 installed at the dealer. Way too much money, but we live and learn. I got the WRLong electric over hydraulic switch for the front grapple. Much better decision than buying rear remote and having wet lines run from rear to front of tractor.
I'll be shocked if you can't do an aftermarket setup like the Prince SV valves for rear remotes.
Are you looking for rear remotes as well as getting an hydraulic outlet for the backhoe at the back? Is the 800 just to hook up the hydraulics for the backhoe or for a remote valve as well? Its not bad it if tis for a remote valve as well.
Post a picture of how your loader hooks up to the tractor hydraulics. On my L3400 the loader is hooked up using a hydraulic block on the right side of the tractor. All the older B series are hooked up this way as well. The L3400 and L4400 are pretty old designs and I would have thought them to be similar.
Are there any hard lines involved in the hydraulic hookup to the loader? or just flexible hoses from tractor to loader valve?
While you are asking, I really think that you ought to look into a sub-frame backhoe instead. I know that is what I would do if I were getting a backhoe for my L3400.
Of course this in no way changes the need for the hydraulic outlet at the back. What this does is ensures that you don't put undue stress where it does not belong. There have been several threads here of a cracked rear housing as a result of a 3 pt backhoe. Those things put a lot of stress on a CUT.
A subframe is not generally that much more. At the very least, adapt a home made subframe to a 3 PT backhoe.
