I just brought a 4 wheel drive L4200 and the front wheels don't both turn at the same time what needs to be done to lock it in to a full 4x4?

You can't it has an open front differential.

Like 3R said, only the rear wheels have a locking differential.

Pretty much the same as the rest of us, our M8540 has a limited slip front differential, but I don't think any of the smaller tractors do, I know our L5740 doesn't; wish it did.
