I have a L4150 kubota with a very loose headlamp/hazard switch. How is this combination switch removed? The knobs seem too tight to just pull off. Does anyone know if there is a release mechanism to get this switch out of the panel?
On my L4150 and L5450 the knob (with short lever) just pulls straight up and off. Under the knob there's a retaining nut holding the switch in the dash panel. If you need to lift the dash panel, take the two halves of the tilt steering cover off first.
Thanks for that feedback. As you can probably guess, I was just not using enough force when pulling knobs off. Tightened the nut under the knobs and loose switch fixed.
The L4950 parts drawings and workshop manual didn't include a breakdown of this switch. I stumbled across a parts drawing for a M4900 which uses the same combination switch and includes a more complete breakdown of this switch.
I have included the M4900 drawing for future reference.
I highly recommend getting the workshop manual for the 4150. I believe it's for both the DT and not, including L3850; L4150; and L4350. I got mine several years ago and it owes me nothing in the time and savings of do it yourself! Congrats working on a helluva machine. It's a tank when you learn how to use it efficiently.
