Could an L39 TLB safely tow a trailer weighing 8000 pounds and or 10000 pounds?

if you are on level ground yes. On steep grades it would just be a matter of time before the trailer gets the best of you. I would start slow & keep it out of road gear.

The tractor can move it for sure but stopping could be a problem depending on the situation. Remember there are no front brakes on tractors and 8 to 10K can push you down hill pretty easy. Engage your front axle so you have some engine braking and go slow.
