I have a L39 that I would like to put a wood splitter on. I would like to run it off the backhoe pump (11gpm). The problem I have is what to do with the swing pump outlet. Can I run the swing pump to a t to the splitter return or should I include the swing pump in the feed to the splitter with a t, or neither? Thanks, Steve

Welcome to TBN:D

I think you will have to T into the return, just make sure the hose is sized adequately.

After speaking with the dealer and Kubota, they advise not to t the swing pump into the return of the other pump. Back pressure issues. looks like the rear backhoe outlets can only be used for the backhoe. there is no provision for returning the flow of the pump not used. (2 pump feed). Thoughts

When the backhoe is mounted, it goes into the same return correct? You have two pressure lines and one return?

Yup, for some reason Kubota and a local hydraulics manufacturer recommend not t-ing due to back pressure issues?
