L3800 Cruise and Seat Questions

Two quick questions about the L3800.

1. Does the cruise control work in reverse?

2. Is the suspension seat a true suspension seat, or is it the type that has a hinge under the front of the seat and two coil springs supporting the back? (My B2400 was like this).

Didn't get cruise on mine, so can't answer #1. (wish i did though when bushhogging). #2, IMO it's a true suspension seat because you can adjust the tension/rebound on it. I find it very comfortable even after all day use.

I don't know about the seat, but cruise control works only going forward.

Yes on the suspension seat.

When I let my clutch out, I set the cruse with the throttle.

As said cruise does not work in reverse, only going forward. As for the seat.. I used to think all of the standard L series had a suspension seat, Until I saw an L3700su that did not. Soooo I dunno.. does it have a suspension seat? you tell us. does it have an adjustment on the back under the seat to set the tension of the two horizontal springs in the seat base? If so then it has a suspension seat.. Almost all I have seen from the dealers are rusted so that they do not work without some lube and some stomping up and down on the base. Unless it has not set out on the lot for very long and has not had a chance to rust. No adjustment bar on the back under the seat, then No, it does not have a suspension seat. The one in my L3400HST worked pretty well once I broke it loose and kept it lubed.

Thanks for the replies. I stopped and looked at an the closest L3800 to me (100 miles) last week, but didn't have much time to look it over or drive it. I can see specs on paper, but Kubota doesn't list the cruise info or show good pics of the seat online. Thanks
