Anyone find an alternative to that stupid little knob that acts as a travel stop for the 3-point lever? Maybe it's just mine, but it sure seems like it should be easier to turn.

Fixed it. Added a flat washer between the split ring lock washer and the knob. The split ring was biting into the plastic on the knob.

Hers is a better fix. My 3301 had a flat washer then a lock washer and the a flat washer but I still could not turn it. Just this week in another site someone came up with an idea to fix it. Go to McMaster Carr web site and punch in part number 5720K31. It is a can lock nut. I on't have a local store so I ordered one from E bay and it will be here tomorrow. With this lever instead of a knob it only takes a second to change the sitting

I saw that on the other forum. I'll try it if my washer fix doesn't suffice.

I got it in the mail today and put it on works great what little I played with it. I added 2 flat washers under it to get it to position right. I think the knob tightens itself from the vibration of the tractor. I needed pliers to get it loose, but it sits real close to the fender a is hard to get hold of

That's a big part of the problem, it's hard to get a good grip on it.

There're a few quirks on the L3800 that I find irritating. Another one is the cable going to the PTO. Why didn't they make this a directly linked lever? My cable is already starting to bind.

I found this one. 20170508_082731.jpg Most local hardware stores carry a variety of knobs. You need a 6mm with a long stem and a nylon or steel bushing to extend it up.
