I'm at work and need to stop at the local Kubota dealer for my 200 hour maint. supplies for my L3800 HST. I don't have my book with me but want to get the items that I need on my way home from work. I know I need an oil filter, trans filter, hydro filter. What I don't know is how much Super UDT that I need for the change on this model. Also, are there any other hydro filters that I am forgetting? I know from my old BX, there was a strainer for the hydro that I had to clean out. Is there one on the L3800? Does the fuel filter need changed or just cleaned on the 200 service? Am I missing anything that I need to get from the dealer? Also, I already have the engine oil.

TIA!!

BTW, what is bothering me now is when I just look online at the Kubota maintenance schedule, it said to change my hydro oil at 50 hours, but I know my Kubota manual said to do it at 200 hours, so now I am concerned.

I'd call the dealer where you plan to stop - that way you can have materials staged and ready when you arrive.

Talk to your dealer, he should know all of it... and have it ready for you.

They may have changed it but it was change only the filters at 50 hours and the fluid doesn't get changed till 400 hours. Lots of people changed it at 50 hours... dumbest thing I every did. I watched perfectly good oil going into the recycle tank... :(

I picked up extra fuel and air filters... and doesn't hurt having an extra set of everything! It's not like the price will be dropping anytime soon :p

1st advice be ready to spend some money.i bought everything i needed todo my 1st service an it was $400.im taking it as this is your 1st service of your tractor.so youll need hydro oil motor oil oil filter HST an hydro filters.an do not loose your magnet in your hydro filter or thatll cost you an extra $20 or more.after this major expense you can relax for awhile.on my book ill change the motor oil an filter after 150hrs of use.the hydro oil wont be changed again till 400 hrs.

I found out my closest dealer closed down. :( I am going to go to another dealer to get the fluid. Of what I am seeing, my Kubota takes about 8 gallons of SUDT. That sounds like allot.

Thats why I am going to go by the owners manual and pour mine out when it hits 400 hours.:) All the filters got changed at 50 and the other routine maint. but almost 8 gal of SUDT aint cheap.

I just read that in my manual just now. I don't have to change the SUDT till 400 hours. I don't know why I thought it was 200 hours.

That you did. Thanks. I did buy the SUDT, but now I'll have it for the 400 hour maintenance.
