I just purchased a 1993 Kubota L3650 ,GST,4WD with a LA650 loader, it has 640 hrs on it. I have noticed when I am descending a grade I can hear a rattle type sound.

It sounds like it coming under the cover plate housing the transmission. It seems to be when you let off on the throttle while descending a grade.

I not sure what it is or if it is normal or not. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
John

I have determined that the noise seems to be when the tractor is in 4th gear and while idling and descending a grade. When I throttle it up a bit or change to another gear I don't seem to hear it.

It just seems to be in a certain spot and it does not do it for the whole length of the hill.

Intermitten noises like that can be a bear to track down, I wouldn't worry too much till it gets worse to where it can be tracked down easier.
