L345DT 1982 hydraulic problem

I have a hydraulic problem with my 1982 L345 DT. The pump is almost no longer building pressure, and is no longer available anywhere. Is there a way to replace the hydraulic system with a 12 Volt electrical and hydraulic system which will do both functions (for 2 independent cylinders) of the front shovel? Which should be located on the right wing.

Go with belt driven or find a good hydraulic shop they will get you a pump

Was it driven off the front pulley, as an agter market add-on, or a factory pump? Reason I ask, I find used Kubota pumps for $540, or new after market starting around $525. Honestly, I dont see any kinda electric driven pump being satisfactory, and probably not cheaper.

Have you A: confirmed the pump is shot?
B: taken it to a hydralic shop to see about getting it rebuilt?

It looks like all of the internal parts are readily available at Messicks; if you have the ability (or can find someone) who can rebuild it.

Have you checked your low pressure side, and screen filter for blockages; Or air intrusion? If your pump is able to draw any air, you may not see the leak, but that will give you the appearance of a shot pump (also will lead to a shot pump if you run it starved of fluid).
