Does anyone know if there is factory installed wiring to be used for rear lights on an L3400? I want to put 2 - 55W halogens on my ROPS, and don't have a wiring diagram for my tractor. If there are wires already stubbed up somewhere in the back of the tractor for adding lights, I would be interested to know where they are.

Thanks in advance for any info.

I bought two factory work lights. They came with brackets for mounting to the ROPS. They had wires with bullet ends that plug into the existing wires under the fenders.

If you use some other type lamps you could splice into the wires or get some of the bullet type ends.

Note that the wires are hot with the ignition switch even if the headlamps are off. The factory lights have switches on them.

I got the factory lights for the switches and brackets. The pair was around $150.00.

I'll bet there's already a fused circuit with a wire ready for you to plug in a bullet connector, but I don't know where to find the wire on an L model. It may be under the seat, as it was on my B2710, and it was taped to a taillight wire with enough tape to completely cover the bullet connector which made it a little harder to find. And of course, in addition to the lights, I had to add my own switch. As has been mentioned, the "work light" wire is hot when the key is on.

Lift up your seat, locate wiring harness and pull covering off. There is a red wire with a black stripe that is for aux. circuit.
I would put a fuse between this connection and the switch. Lots of tape to remove by the way.

On my L3400HST there is a bullet receptacle hanging under each rear fender near the tail light wiring. These are for the ROPS work lights which can be aimed forward or rearward.

Yowzers~!!

I put one flood light down below the tool box aimed at the 3pt attachment. Added a waterproof toggle switch on the fender, used premium gold plated connectors and was out less than $25.
