Bad news, go look at most cars and trucks. My old 91 chevy 3/4 ton even had plastic on the radiator, and that was 15 years ago. I have not paid attention to my 03' Dodge 1 ton but I sure it has plastic also. Plastic just makes it cheaper to buy the parts for the manufacturer.
then we as the consumer many times have to spend lots of $$$$ to buy a replacement part as they are often not repairable.
