Mowing L3130 finish mower

I haven't bought yet but am planning on a 7'. A 6' will barely clear the tires if you have R4s.

Indebt,
I have a RDTH72 Bush Hog finishing mower that I pull behind my L3130. It gives a great cut, no problems to mention since 2003.

I have a 6' finish mower and its a good fit for the tractor. I'm sure it would pull a 7' mower as well. Mowing up a decent hill, like I have up the drive 600', would slow it down a good bit though.

I pull a Woods 6 footer with my B2710 (20 pto hp).
It does a great job. I would think the L3130 would pull a 7 footer with no problems.

I ran an older model LandPride 90" (7'6") grooming mower on my L3010. Never had a problem as long as I didn't let the grass get too tall. If I did, I just cut the size of the swath back a little and breezed on through it. You'll have no trouble with a 7' on your 3130.

I use a 6' Landpride rear finish mower.
I have also used my neighbors Rhino 6' rear discharge finish mower.
In my opinion, the 7' mower would be too big.

The 6' is perfect.

Especially if you have any hills or inclines to climb. And besides, the 7' mower is more expensive than a 6'.

just my 0.02 worth.

I suppose it all comes down to what type of terrain you have to mow. A 7 footer would be nice if you mostly mow large un-obstructed areas.

I'm using a Rhino FM72 (6 foot) rear discharge finish mower behind my L3830. It's overall width is just even with my back tires. If the rear tires will make it past an obsticle, so will the mower. Less chance of hanging it up on trees, fence posts, etc.

Before using the 6 footer, I thought that I should have purchased a 7 footer but I'm satisfied with what I got.

I use a woods 72 rear dischage and it works really well on my 3130hst. When they were both new it was sluggish in heavy grass, but after breaking in, it never slows, and the cut is impressive.
