I have been searching for alternative air filters instead of the kubota $30+ filter. i found a baldwin filter ,pn#PA3792, that is $13.19 from my local oil dist.

Even wix is like $30+ at local auto parts stores.

Have you purchased these filters yet? Would be interested to hear your opinion on their apparent qual;ity and performance.

I haven't purchased one yet . the dist. didnt have the proper filter for mine in stock. but he showed me one very similar and looked good quality. very much equal to OEM.
He is ordering some for stock and i'm going to get one or two before spring.

I wouldnt have any problem putting one on my tractor if the quality is the same as the one i looked at.

SIR,
i remove the air filter every once in awhile, and gently blow it out with air,
from the inside out. seems to be doing ok with this. has anyone else
done this?

Accordianman , i was told by the kubota folks that it wasnt recommended . something about small holes being caused in the paper from the air causing easy passage for dirt.
I have done it and will probably do it again. i will just check the filter good prior to installing it again.
But at the prices of after market filters it is worth buying a few to replace dirty ones.
kubota wants way to much for there filters but at around 13 to 15 bucks i can buy two to have around.
