L2900 glide shift transmission leak

Recently bought an L2900 GST with 645 hours at auction and I am getting ready to change all the fluids and filters as a preventative measure. I just got done buying $300 worth of fluid and filter for the Glide shift transmission. When I crawled underneath I noticed a small leak coming from where the transmission shift cables enter the trans. Is there an o ring or seal or something where the cable enters the housing on the side of the transmission? If not it might be the metal cover is not sealed good to the housing. It looks like someone put rtv sealant there instead of a gasket but looks like where the cable enters the cover is the wettest part. Any ideas. Parts diagram from kubota was not very helpful. I don’t want to be leaking that high dollar fluid out.

Looks like someone already looked into the leak.
On my L3650GST there are two o rings and a backup ring around the shaft protruding from the trans side plate.
From looking at my schematic it would appear that the side plate has to be pulled to replace the o rings.
Also someone could have been having problems with the cables binding and lubed them heavily and thats what is dripping.
Pull the shifter cables and cover to be sure. Its no problem to do.

Do I need to take the cable loose first or can I just unbolt the cover with the cables still attached? I don’t want to mess up the cable adjustment if possible.
