Kubota L2800HST
I'm looking at the specs on both tractors. I would use both for about 80% finish mowing. The L2800HST has 22.5 pto HP @2800 RPMs while the Mahindra generates 22 pto HP @ 2376 RPMs. Does that mean the Mahindra has a stronger engine? Does that mean I would have to run the Kubota at 2800 RPMs to get 540 RPMs at the PTO? I have a 5ft finish mower, but might move up to a 72" at some point. Will the L2800HST have enough power to mower with the 72" mower. The Mahindra dealer says the 2815 will have plenty of power to go with a 72" finish mower.

I can't imagine having to mow at 2800 RPMs, unless that is what the Kubota is designed for. Maybe someone who mows with their L2800HSt can chime in and let me know how it does and what RPM range you use.

Thank you.

540 on the PTO is set that peak of the torque curve which is somwhat below 2800 RPM. 2600-2800 is really the norm for a modern diesel engine. Personaly, I'd want more HP for a 72" RFM. The extra cash for the L3400 would be well spent in my opinion.
