Mowing L2800HST mowing delimma

Thanks to everyone for helping out. I didn't think this seemed right. The dealer is going to stop by this week and check it out. I'll keep you posted...

I have the same tractor with the same problem. I'll have it in the 2400 RPM range,which is 540 RPM at the PTO and it will drop the RPM to 2000 RPM when cutting 4" grass. I have a 60" BushHog finish mower. Please let me now what the dealer says about this. Thanks

The dealer came to pick up the tractor last week. I haven't heard from him yet. I told him if there wasn't anything wrong with it to just keep it cause I don't want it back. I'll pay a little extra for the 3400 but he said the 2800 should pull a 72" mower no problem. I'll keep you posted.
